Assigning data to a geomechanical model

After creating a new geomechanical model, you assign a structural model to it. The stratigraphic events on the basis of which the structural model zonation was defined, will define the zonation of the geomechanical model as well. To each zone in the geomechanical model, specific geomechanical properties can be assigned (next step of the workflow). At a later stage, when you map the geomechanical model to a 3D Mesh, the volume between the lowermost stratigraphic event of the structural model and the 'boundary-bottom' mesh will form the volume for the underburden.

To assign data

1. Open the Assign Data form.
2. From the structural model drop-down list, select the structural model of interest.
3. Click OK to assign the model, close the form and go to the next step in the workflow, Material Parameters.
